TORONTO - Hope For The Day and The Entertainment Institute are partnering for The Conversations Tour this fall. A truly unique tour featuring SayWeCanFly, The Conversations Tour's goal is to open up dialogue where fans can express emotions and find comfort in the music and words of other fans.
"After playing Warped Tour over the summer, meeting so many different people and having conversations with them both as an artist and a human being, I thought doing a tour that is centered around conversations would be a cool idea," said SayWeCanFly's Braden Barrie. "I really want everyone to feel that what they are buying a ticket for is more than just a concert this time. I want to give everyone to the opportunity to personally connect with both myself and the other people on the tour, and not feel that they need to talk about a certain thing or topic. I think we are all scared to share our feelings these days, and I think it's very important to work on fixing that."
Barrie has spent much of the year touring, from intimate club performances to an entire summer on the Vans Warped Tour, where he has made it a point to connect personally with all of his fans. Through grassroots social media promotion, Barrie has built a dedicated network of fans who connect deeply with SayWeCanFly's music and Barrie as a person. The Conversations Tour gives Barrie a perfect opportunity to continue building a relationship with fans, as well as allowing a platform to bond as a community.
"I really want everyone to know that they don't ever have to feel insecure about who they are," he said. "The goal for this tour is really just to have everyone sitting in the same room getting to know each other. I want everyone to realize that the people in the room next to them understand their thoughts more than they probably believe. My favorite part about touring has always been the conversations I get to have with people, so I'm excited to focus on that element and really bring it to life with this tour."
Hope For The Day (HFTD) is a grassroots non-profit movement utilizing music and arts for suicide prevention and mental health education. Started in 2011, HFTD's vision is to use music and the arts as platforms for suicide prevention and mental health education. HFTD starts the conversation of prevention from stages in music venues across the globe, schools and online because prevention starts with a conversation. HFTD is a reminder that it's ok not to be ok and help is closer than you think.
"After doing amazing work with SayWeCanFly all summer on the Vans Warped Tour, we are excited to continue our advocacy efforts this fall and bring an open conversation about life to music venues across the country," said Jonny Boucher, Founder/CEO, Hope For The Day.
The Entertainment Institute (TEI) is a music education platform that gives aspiring artists access to musicians and professionals currently working in the industry through customized workshops, both online and in person. TEI works with gurus from all facets of the industry to create unique educational experiences. These professionals share their first-hand knowledge and experiences directly with artists.
"Braden Barrie of SayWeCanFly is a true artist with a very real passion for his fans," said TEI's Matt Halpern. "All summer we watched him perform his heart out on stage, then spend hours meeting and talking with his fans every single day. He never just said hi and shrugged off, he let them talk. He listens, and cares. He wants to know who they are, where they come from, how his music has helped them, and how he can continue to help them. That's inspiring. It's the type of inspiration that TEI is always aiming to harness through our own programs."
"Both Hope For The Day and The Entertainment Institute have been amazing partners to work with over the summer," Barrie said. "I think it's super cool to see how much they care about the kids. It's easy to sit back and talk about making a difference, but these organizations do more than just talk. I've seen first-hand how much what they do means to people, and how it helps everyone feel like they are special. I'm really stoked to have them on board with this tour."
SayWeCanFly's debut full-length, Between The Roses, was released earlier this year and re-released this summer in a Deluxe Edition via Barrie's own PureWolf label. The record debuted at # 14 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and #5 on iTunes singer/songwriter chart. Additionally, SayWeCanFly became a featured artist on MTVHits' "Fresh Faces" and won MTVU's "The Freshmen" competition with the first single, "Song of the Sparrow."
SayWeCanFly's first EP for Epitaph Records, Darling, will be released this fall.

Goodnight California Reissue Set For Release September 25
TYLER, Texas - Fade To Silence Records is excited to announce explosive Texas rock 'n' rollers Rockett Queen as the label's very first signing.
"I ran into Rockett Queen's Walter Lee in a club in Texas and he dragged me outside to his Mustang to listen to rough track mixes of new songs the band wrote and recorded with producer extraordinaire Zac Maloy in Nashville," said Fade To Silence founder Paul Bibeau. "Suffice it say, I was floored by the quality and strength of the material. It had hooks and melody! So I ventured to Dallas to see them perform live and in all honesty, rarely have I seen such a seasoned performance delivery full of energy and engagement. Simply put, they owned it. I struck up a rapport with the guys and decided that I needed to manage this band."
The first release will be a reissue of the group's Goodnight California EP in an expanded edition, including three new tracks, on September 25.
"We had some songs we didn't get a chance to put on the first round due to time restraints and we just felt this was a perfect time to put it all together and get it out the way it was meant to be," said vocalist/guitarist Lee.
The EP will feature the original five tracks, showcasing Rockett Queen's versatility, from the hard-driving anthem "I Hate You" to the poetic sensibilities of "Since You've Been Gone." In addition to the EP's five original songs, the new version will feature the brand new song "Hey God," an acoustic version of the band's "Hard to Love" and a cover of the Misfits' punk classic "Attitude."
"I feel that there seems to be a lack of young, rock n roll bands today with memorable songs that can also put on one hell of a show," Bibeau said. "Frankly, I find it refreshing."
"'Hey God' is about the destruction and emptiness that some families face after a family member is shipped off to war," Lee said. "Realizing how many of them have to pick up the pieces and find a way to make life work without the person who was suddenly plucked out of their lives is something that hits close to me."
New conceptual videos for "I Hate You" and "Since You've Been Gone" have been shot and will be released in conjunction with the first singles to commercial radio. A lyric video for "I Hate You" has also been produced. Get your first taste here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VExVZiJ5uM.
"Hard to Love" is an acoustic preview of a track from Rockett Queen's next full-length record, which the band is currently working on with producer Zac Maloy in Nashville.
"To show some of our punk rock roots we decided to record a cover version the Misfits song 'Attitude," Lee said. "We wanted to reach back and have some fun with a style of music we all grew up loving."
Rockett Queen's brand of straight-up, honest rock 'n' roll has garnered the quartet a great deal of critical acclaim and Top 40 airplay. Performing for more than 25,000 music fans, the band's energetic live show has won over a devoted fanbase.
Said Lee: "We strive to walk that line of paying homage to what we grew up loving about rock 'n' roll and giving something new to the generation that came before us AND the kids that are at the forefront of the new rock revolution."
Rockett Queen is completed by Jay Scars on lead guitar, Chaz Graves on bass and Keith Crash on drums.
WHITEHOUSE, Texas - Former Spitfire Records company founder/president and industry veteran Paul Bibeau has returned to the business of music after a long hiatus from the industry to launch Fade to Silence Records via AMPED Distribution worldwide.
The new label will focus on establishing a cutting and creative edge driven label brand, a catalog/visual/television imprint and publishing division highlighting the hard rock and heavy metal genre's broad musical spectrum.
Bibeau, Fade to Silence CEO, explained the idea for the choice of the new label's name. "When you are fully engulfed in a song, a full album, an experience, then the lead guitarist starts to unleash holy hell as the song begins to lower in level and you crank the volume to digest every last music morsel as the track dissipates into air and you are craving more - that is the Fade to Silence experience. I'm here again because I seriously missed the entire creative process that occurs while working with amazing talent, from artist and repertoire to the creation and execution of the marketing plans. For me, it is all about the passion for the art, the desire to contribute to revitalizing the style of music I adore and to help fill the void with great new artists."
"Having said that, it is true that hard rock and heavy metal music continues to grow in popularity globally, the various genres/sub genres are largely overlooked by the corporate system," he said. The independent start-up Fade to Silence Records will expand internationally in the fall with a comprehensive, artist-driven, artist-friendly, creative empowerment endeavor, leaving no possible stone unturned. The label will launch in the fall of 2015 with two reissues scheduled thus far, with the label's major frontline releases projected for 2016 street dates.
"Creating a new label is tough in this environment and is a tall order," said Dean Tabaac, VP of AMPED Distribution. "This is a fast moving industry with new rules being created just about on a daily basis. To have a seasoned music master like Paul Bibeau come to AMPED to be his preferred distribution partner for Fade To Silence Records is an honor. His business acumen combined with his innate ability to catch bands on the rise before anyone else sees the potential makes it very exciting for AMPED to be a part of."
The label is in the initial stages of staffing and will utilize a range of specialist and support functions via AMPED, including physical and digital sales, distribution, and manufacturing. Fade to Silence Records will also add some of the top independent consultants for video promotion, public relations, marketing and radio promotion for college, metal, specialty show, internet radio and active rock formats. "I have watched from the sidelines and the patient approach to long-term career development seems to be lacking," said Bibeau. "I believe that in the changing industry landscape, one major key to survival and growth is partnering with tremendous creative and unique talent that can deliver the goods live. Our talent partners will all have one thing in common, they will all be road warriors in the sense that they all have started to lay a solid foundation of fans through relentless touring."
"A great set-up and first week SoundScan impact is always the goal, but in today's industry, that's the point when the record's life cycle abruptly ends," he continued. "Fade to Silence Records will strategically organize creative endeavors into multi-format physical and digital release, allowing each artist and release to be individually developed, produced, marketed, maintained and sold according to each unique requirement and objective. Our talent partners will receive preferential treatment, attention, guidance and creative resources over the long haul. Our main objective is to create a much longer window of time in the record's lifecycle and continue to focus on the daily fundamentals of creating awareness for each individual tour date/market."
It takes a dedicated leader with all the skills and contacts necessary to open doors and create the opportunities for growth. A leader with vision, heart and a passion for music who understands just how difficult the tasks are ahead, and also knows exactly how to win. Over the course of his career, Bibeau signed worldwide exclusive recording agreements, acquired historic music catalogs and compositions for publishing affiliates, oversaw the A&R creative process and created marketing plans for numerous, truly historic and simply amazing talent. In the past, Bibeau has provided outstanding leadership performance in both start-up and turnaround efforts. In September 1998, Bibeau founded, launched and rapidly developed Spitfire Records Inc. from a two-man operation located in his home bedroom in suburban Long Island, New York, to one of the premier independent record labels worldwide. Bibeau successfully negotiated a partnership with Eagle Rock Entertainment (Eagle Vision), a London-based audio and visual company. Prior to that, Bibeau tackled the revitalization of Mayhem Records Group Ltd. (Mayhem Records, Fierce Recordings and Futurist), he rejuvenated growth momentum during his tenure and the results were a reinvented image and stronger company brand through the acquisition of major new talent.
With full accountability for significant budgets, Bibeau is consistently energized by opportunities in overcoming boundaries in order to create maximum product awareness and profitability. During his eight-year tenure at Relativity/Sony Music, Bibeau was a key management team member handling product management, marketing, artist development and A&R. Bibeau's industry career began in New Orleans, where he enjoyed eight years as the General Manager/ Buyer of the Warehouse Records & Tapes Chain.
The label's first two signings, all with Fall 2015 released, dates are:

TORONTO - SayWeCanFly's newest video for the track "The Distance That Took You Away" will premiere tomorrow exclusively on Much Music on the Broadcast Cable Television in Canada and Much.com between 6 and 7 p.m. EDT.
"The Distance That Took You Away," the latest single from the debut album, Between The Roses, which recently received a Deluxe Edition release via PureWolf Records, was shot on location in Whitby, Ontario, and Lindsay, Ontario. SayWeCanFly's Braden Barrie chose to once again work with Reel Tang Productions, the team behind the album's hit video for "Song of the Sparrow."
The video gave Barrie an opportunity to bring "The Distance That Took You Away" to life through a more story rather than performance-driven approach. "This gave me more of a chance to focus on subtle emotions and movements, which made it more of an acting challenge, so to speak," Barrie said. "We shot this one almost completely in chronological order too, which made it very natural."
The premise of the video focuses on a haunting memory of someone close to Barrie, feeling real yet not being visible. This is brought to life by Barrie and actress Taryn Albert, who subtly follows in Barrie's footsteps throughout the video. "I am completely unaware of her presence until the end of the video, at which time we connect in a very symbolic way," Barrie said. "It ended up thunder storming near the end of the shoot, so instead of waiting it out I decided I wanted to re-write the ending to capture the rain as part of the atmosphere and story."
SayWeCanFly is a featured artist on this summer's esteemed Vans Warped Tour, appearing every day in the Acoustic Basement Tent.
Barrie has been supporting his debut full-length, Between The Roses, with headline and support dates across the country and overseas since its release earlier this year. The album debuted at # 14 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and #5 on iTunes singer/songwriter chart. Additionally, SayWeCanFly became a featured artist on MTVHits' "Fresh Faces" and won MTVU's "The Freshmen" competition with the first single, "Song of the Sparrow."
At just 20 years old, Barrie offers a remarkable maturity, expressing raw feelings and offering a sense of hope, inspiration and understanding that fans of all ages can relate to. Much of SayWeCanFly's early success can be attributed to Barrie's strong social media presence and deep connection with his fans.

Epitaph has signed one-man acoustic act SayWeCanFly to the label. Hailing from Ontario, Canada, SayWeCanFly is the heart and soul of 20-year-old Braden Barrie, who is currently playing shows to capacity crowds across the US on the 2015 Vans Warped Tour.
Barrie is a singer-songwriter mature well-beyond his years, with lyrics that show listeners no matter what struggles they face, they always have the power to make it through.
"I've spent many years of my life building SayWeCanFly from theground up, and have always believed in the power of faith and hard work," he said. "I've learned that the two most important aspects of being a musician are the songs I write, and the kids who listen to them. Becoming a part of the Epitaph family is something I feel in my heart is the right step for me to take. They have always stood out to me for many reasons, the most important being that their bands are consistently growing and succeeding, which I don't believe is possible without a loving and caring team behind the art. My priority will always be the music, and I'm thankful to have found a record label who understands why I do what I do."
Brett Gurewitz, Epitaph CEO states:
"It's truly amazing what Braden has accomplished with SayWeCanFly, all on his own, in such a short time. His passion and commitment are really inspiring. I'm thrilled to welcome him and his wonderful team to the Epitaph family."
SayWeCanFly has self-released music since 2009 and seen social numbers climb into the millions.
